Music Runs In My Blood
The Key To Every Door
I remember when I was 5 years old and my parents sent me for my very first piano lesson. I hid behind my music teacher's cabin. I did not enjoy it. But over time, I realized I had an innate passion for it. I believe it birthed my passion for other instruments. I have attended many eisteddfods over the years, attended competitions, and had countless exams. I matriculated with Royal Schools Grade 7 Level Classical Piano. Although I was trained classically, I have also had jazz training and I play predominantly by ear. My family is incredibly musical, with both my parents being musicians. It really is in my blood and it is something now, I would not trade the world for.

Sing A Little Dream Of Me
You may have noticed that I have a SoundCloud. That is because I am a singer-songwriter; one that has been suffering from writer's block for a while now. I was trained classically - the same as piano, however, I have also had jazz training and like my experience with piano, I sing predominantly by ear. I matriculated with Royal Schools Grade 7 Level Classical Vocals. Singing is honestly my main passion. I have been singing for as long as I can remember. I was in several choirs throughout my entire school career and started taking vocal lessons professionally when I was 13 years old. I don't know what I'd do without it. It's music to my soul.
Champagne Flutes
I'd always wanted to pick up a violin or a saxophone; instead, I was encouraged to pick up a flute. I discovered it to be more versatile and I adapted well. I only picked it up when I was 16 and was in Grade 10. Within two years, I got to Royal Schools Grade 6 Level Jazz Flute and Grade 7 Level Classical Flute. I was the first student to do the jazz syllabus at my school, but much to my surprise, it turned out that I had a knack for it. I subsequently fell in love with the flute and like piano and vocals, played predominantly by ear - sometimes even attempting to beatbox on the flute. Although I haven't picked it up in a while, it is something that once you pick up, it is like riding a bike - it all comes back to you and I am so grateful to have been able to take 3 instruments.
