Check Know Prevent (Cancer Awareness) :
I was approached by Check Know Prevent after publishing my tribute video to my best friend, Velisa Sishuba who passed away from cancer on the 17th of February 2020. Velisa had been a brand ambassador for Check Know Prevent. I had already been in contact with Jenny De Oliveira around the time of Velisa's memorial service and once I had finished the tribute video, passed it on to Check Know Prevent, who then published it on their Facebook and Instagram. It was such an honour to do this for my best friend and to be part of such an amazing organisation.
I along with Tayla Wannenburgh (Velisa's other best friend in Johannesburg) was approached by Check Know Prevent in order to record two song covers: Rescue by Lauren Daigle which I sang at Velisa's memorial service in Grahamstown, and Dancing In The Sky By Dan And Lizzy which Tayla sang at Velisa's memorial service in Johannesburg. We recorded the two songs at Black Hole Studios by Chris Tait. It was definitely an amazing experience and an honour I will never forget, The Dancing In The Sky cover was released on Velisa's birthday on the 7th of July 2021 and the Rescue cover will be released soon.
